Spell List | |||||||
Name | Level | Ready? | Count | Cast Time | Range | Save | Description/Effect |
Comprehend Languages | 1 | no | 1 standard | self | n/a | You can understand the spoken words of creatures or read otherwise incomprehensible written messages. In either case, you must touch the creature or the writing. The ability to read does not necessarily impart insight into the material, merely its literal meaning. The spell enables you to understand or read an unknown language, not speak or write it.
Expeditious retreat | 1 | no | 1 standard | self | n/a | This spell increases your base land speed by 30 feet. (This adjustment is treated as an enhancement bonus.) There is no effect on other modes of movement, such as burrow, climb, fly, or swim. As with any effect that increases your speed, this spell affects your jumping distance (see the Jump skill).
Feather Fall | 1 | no | immediate | close | will neg. | The affected creatures or objects fall slowly. Feather fall instantly changes the rate at which the targets fall to a mere 60 feet per round (equivalent to the end of a fall from a few feet), and the subjects take no damage upon landing while the spell is in effect. However, when the spell duration expires, a normal rate of falling resumes.
Identify | 1 | no | 1 hour | Touch | none | The spell determines all magic properties of a single magic item, including how to activate those functions (if appropriate), and how many charges are left (if any). Identify does not function when used on an artifact. A pearl of at least 100 gp value, crushed and stirred into wine with an owl feather; the infusion must be drunk prior to spellcasting.
Mage armor | 1 | yes | 1 standard | touch | will neg. | An invisible but tangible field of force surrounds the subject of a mage armor spell, providing a +4 armor bonus to AC. Unlike mundane armor, mage armor entails no armor check penalty, arcane spell failure chance, or speed reduction. Since mage armor is made of force, incorporeal creatures can’t bypass it the way they do normal armor.
Magic missile | 1 | yes | 1 standard | Medium | - | A missile of magical energy darts forth from your fingertip and strikes its target, dealing 1d4+1 points of force damage. The missile strikes unerringly, even if the target is in melee combat or has less than total cover or total concealment. Specific parts of a creature can’t be singled out. Inanimate objects are not damaged by the spell. For every two caster levels beyond 1st, you gain an additional missile.
Ray of Enfeeblement | 1 | no | 1 standard | close | none | A coruscating ray springs from your hand. You must succeed on a ranged touch attack to strike a target. The subject takes a penalty to Strength equal to 1d6+1 per two caster levels (maximum 1d6+5). The subject’s Strength score cannot drop below 1.
Tenser's floating disk | 1 | no | 1 standard | close | n/a | You create a slightly concave, circular plane of force that follows you about and carries loads for you. The disk is 3 feet in diameter and 1 inch deep at its center. It can hold 100 pounds of weight per caster level. (If used to transport a liquid, its capacity is 2 gallons.) The disk floats approximately 3 feet above the ground at all times and remains level. It floats along horizontally within spell range and will accompany you at a rate of no more than your normal speed each round. |

Description |
Dareth has short spikey black hair, shockingly bright blue eyes, and lightly tanned skin. His features are average for an elf, although his default expression (a disinterested half-scowl garnered from too much time spent talking with people far dumber than he is) does nothing to compliment them. His outfits tend toward the simple, favoring blues and greys that blend in well in twilight. |
Personality |
In a group Dareth is a solid team player, working to the best of his ability to aid in their mutual goals. He is careful to choose allies he can stand and whose goals are in his interest however. His moral code tends toward Lex Talionis. He deplores random needless cruelty, but will be the first break out the bamboo and the red hot pokers if he thinks there is a good reason or lob a lightning bolt at a person trying to take cover in a crowd if there isn't a better method handy. He has a (well hidden) soft spot for children and small animals and will generally be kind to them if he thinks he can get away with it. Dareth speaks: Common, Elven, Draconic, Dwarven, Celestial, Infernal, and Goblin. |
Background |
Having spent the majority of his youth and early career in dozens of different libraries, Dareth has traveled a great deal but hasn't seen much other than words and ancient architecture. (beautifull, but not riveting for long) As a single child Dareth got a fair amount of attention from his parents growing up and has decided that a hunded or so years away may do him some good. Traveling from book to book has reached something of a plateau for him and adventuring seemed the next logical step. |
